"Even before booking, Tuangtip answered our questions really promptly. On the morning of the tour, Tuangtip and the driver were already waiting outside the hotel before the agreed time. Both are simply wonderful and authentically friendly. On the journey to the first market, Tuangtip told us lots of insider information about Thailand. Politics, economics, history, religion; Tuangtip knew how to talk about everything. And, I forgot, food. Tuangtip loves food. Exciting. The tour was superbly organised, but there was also enough room for our special requests. Short. Any time again. We can absolutely recommend Tuangtip. "We had a great day visiting the train market and floating market with Tuangtip (Tai) as our guide. The tour was very well organized and ran smoothly from start to finish. Tai shared excellent tips throughout and managed to avoid the biggest crowds as much as realistically possible. Tai brought a selection of local Thai breakfast treats for us to enjoy (very thoughtful especially given the early start of the trip) , shared interesting insights about the fruits at the market, and was wonderfully attentive to the wide age range of our kids, making the experience engaging for both the youngest and the teens. One unexpected highlight was a quiet stop at a local Buddhist temple, away from tourist routes – we learned a lot and appreciated the peaceful atmosphere. Tai’s English was excellent, and the day felt informative but relaxed. Highly recommended!"
"We wanted to see the "more authentic" floating market experience and glad we booked the Thaka, Amphawa & Railroad market with Piyaporn. My sister and myself have been to Thailand before but have never been to the floating market and wanted a more 'local' perspective than just a chaperone between spots. Piyaporn talked about how the floating markets have changed with tourism and the times. We got to see the very touristy side of the Railroad market but also the more local side of Thaka market. The canal boat tour was a highlight. Piyaporn also catered to our interests in more local food (indulging in all the dried and salted seafood along the railroad market) and a delicious pad krapaow at Amphawa market. Note: The floating market experience might not be the same as the major tourist spot of Damnoen Saduak so set your expectations accordingly. This one felt a lot more relaxed, but you might not see as many vendors in boats and more along the sides of the canals (which I believe is more the reality of the floating markets these days). Overall, great experience and would do it again especially with Piyaporn."
