"I toured with my two teen boys and it was an awesome tour. Alvaro took us all around the island to lots of \"secret\" spots. Beautiful coves along the coast, high view points in the mountains and little towns along the way. He sought out a lunch spot where only Spaniards were eating and we ordered a sampling of local tapas with his help (choosing dishes going beyond the \"safe bet\" of patatas bravas and padron peppers!). He has a great sense of humor, a contagious laugh and an optimism for living life that makes the day pleasant and fun. Imagine escaping Germany’s lockdown rules only to find out Spain is mandating a curfew and closing even outdoor dining for dinner. Tragic! But you press on with your holiday and the first day starts with great weather and you set off with a relaxing contemporary mix of music playing and THE PERFECT GUIDE. Let me tell you all the ways he was perfect! -He was easy to understand and so easy to talk to -He was knowledgeable (about everything, the history, the landscape, the food, the people, the architecture) -He was the best driver! I felt safe and comfortable on these tiny roads and hair pin turns, plus he could fit his car into any spot!!! -He never got tired of taking our questions or our pictures! -He shared the best stories (and jokes) about some of the amazing hidden gems he revealed to us. *The best part was our little picnic at Formentor! Sobrasada, Cheese and a Rioja with the most magnificent views! Thank you Alvaro for a wonderful day and the best start to this vacation!"
