It´s been written a lot about the Muslim Heritage of Granada, but what happened after 1492?
This tour will reveal the secrets behind the conquest of the city, and how the Catholic Monarchs, Isabel and Fernando, created a new Renaissance kingdom.
"I had two tours with Ana, the Alhambra one and the Christian Granada One, and I would definitely recommend both!
As an art historian, Ana has an in-depth knowledge that really unlocks the places for you, and she shares the information in a very accessible and engaging way.
I had a fantastic experience visiting the Alhambra, the Cathedral, the Royal Chapel and the St Jerome Monastero: Ana made each of these places come alive - I learned so many things that really enhanced my visit in Granada!
In addition to this, I asked her for recommendations on books that I could read, and she gave me a very wide choice covering different styles.
Ana communicated regularly with me from my first enquiry to the day of the tour, and she is very friendly and passionate about her city - do not hesitate to book a tour (or more!) with her, you'll have a great experience!"
"Our guide Ana was just superb. She added huge Value to our Alhambra tour. Quietly knowledgeable with facts that we otherwise would never have known. All of which added to the wonderful experience of the Alhambra. We would warmly recommend Ana to anyone wanting a very knowledgable guide for this special place. "
"We really enjoyed our tour of the Alhambra with Ana, she was very knowledgeable, explained things clearly and was happy to answer all our questions! "
"In our short time together, I learned so much about Spain through casual conversation. Javier is a great guy. By the end of the tour, we were just laughing, about everything. Book with confidence!"
"Such a brilliant food taster tour with Javier. Such a personable young man, so easy to talk to. My husband and I really enjoyed trying some of the local food and wine in his company. Javier also told us some interesting history and local information, as well as ideas for the rest of our stay. Would definitely recommend this tour with Javier."
"We had a great afternoon with Javier tasting food (and drinks) in bars, restaurants and shops we would never have found on our own. We also learned a lot of interesting stories and tidbits about Spanish history that we had not heard on previous tours. Javier’s relaxed manner and sense of humor made him a great host. We would take the tour again in a heartbeat!"
"Tour la Alhambra with an Art Historian – What Better Experience!
Ana gave us an amazing tour of la Alhambra. There is no shortage of things to see or ground to cover. In 4 hours, though, Ana was able to take us to all of the main sights (Gardens, Summer palace, Nasrid Palaces, Charles V Palace, and the Alcazaba) without any of it ever feeling rushed. She was able to give us a wealth of information about the art, the history, and the art history. She was also deft at helping us avoid the crowds – which is no small feat in la Alhambra. Being an art historian herself – and a bit of a historian too, we suspect – Ana was able to make the history and the art come alive. We can’t recommend her enough.
!Muchas gracias, Ana!"
"We highly recommend Alicia for your introductory exploration of Grenada. She was enthusiastic and engaging throughout. She chose a meeting place very close to our hotel and we enjoyed two fun hours exploring the cobbled streets and hidden courtyards of the city, learning about the history and symbolism as we went. She gave us recommendations on places to visit after our tour ended and also places to eat. We totally enjoyed it! "
