"Our family of 5 had a fantastic morning touring Girona with Gemma, who was charming, friendly, knowledgeable and funny. We learned so much about the history and culture of the city, including amusing ancient anecdotes about the Lioness statue at the entrance to Girona, the famous Moscas, surprising facts about a witch, and we even visited a few Game of Thrones filming locations. Gemma was the perfect easy going, light hearted but deeply erudite guide. The 2 hour tour flew by and we loved our time together. "Outstanding tour with Mar! Mar is extremely knowledgeable of Girona - history, architecture and the culture! She was very attentive to our needs. She contacted us prior to the tour to confirm. When she learned we were arriving via train, she changed the meeting location to accommodate us. She met us at the train station and had a driver with her (Sergio, her husband) who drove us to the old city for the start of our tour. We were delighted to meet Sergio and asked him to join us. Mar and Sergio are both warm and engaging, we walked through the old medieval walled city and the Roman remains of the fortress. It felt like an afternoon strolling with family. We learned much of Girona’s history as well as the history of her family and there significant contributions to the city of Girona! In addition, she is knowledgeable as to the locations of where the Game of Throne’s were filmed. My husband and I are both architects and interested in the history - we found Mar exceptionally knowledgable and would highly recommend her!
