" We could have given Santiago a 10, since we can't think of anything he missed. He shared extensive history with us about Bilbao's highlights and the the Basque nation's history. We learned about the local architectural highlights AND low points. He took us up the funicular for an outstanding view of the layout of Bilbao, and a lovely walk around the park at the top. As a Basque nation local, he has a unique experience to share with his guests. With the time we still had available in Bilbao, we took him up on his suggestion to take the metro out to Getxo to see its unique pedestrian bridge and took a lovely walk around its bay on a beautiful sunny day.
