"In Barcelona on a cruise with our 13 year old skater. Hit up MACBA in the morning and then met up with Mario who took our son for a tour around other local spots. He had an amazing time. When we met back up Mario was working with him on a few tricks he’s been trying. Gave us some great advice on restaurants before we left. "This was a fantastic experience! I’m 37 and have been on and off the board throughout my life, and skating in Barcelona has been on my bucket list ever since I was a kid. Mario got in touch with me within minutes of making a booking, asking how he could tailor make the tour to meet my interests. He was super friendly and had a professional demeanor. All I said was to take me around as if it was his day to skate and we did exactly that! He proposed a meeting place based on where I was staying. We met up and immediately started cruising through the streets hitting up Arc, DIY picnic and Parallel. We refueled with some local street food, talked about skating and life experiences, and even kicked off the evening with Mario’s killer cocktails at The Station. His personality had me feeling like I just met up with a childhood friend that I hadn’t seen in years! Almost every spot and route we rode Mario took time to introduce me to the locals and explain the history of the spot. This let me feel included in the community and for the next 4 days of skating I’d cross paths with familiar faces and just blend in. It allowed me to just soak up the experience to the fullest! This tour is without a doubt a must if you really want to experience skate culture in BCN, regardless of your skill level or age. She is knowledgeable and can give you a much more encompassing tour of HER city with hidden gems so much more impressive and less known than the big tourist attractions.
