"We hired Elvira for two different events, a food tour and a trip to Montserrat followed by a winery visit. Elvira was a class act! She was friendly, welcoming, warm and very informative. We were a multigenerational group, and Elvira was able to meet all our needs. She displayed strong problem-solving skills when obtaining a car seat for our youngest member and getting grandma a closer look at the Black Madonna at Montserrat. During the food tour Elvira walked us around the food market where we tasted lots of regional delights. Elvira explained food and drink customs, and we dined at a traditional bodega and a family-owned sweets shop.
During our trip to Montserrat, Elvira provided historical information about the site and its significance through the ages. She walked us through the museum, including a stroll through the art wing which housed an impressive collection. The location was stunning, and she helped us take some lovely family pictures. We continued the day at a local family-owned winery where we enjoyed learning more about wine production and sampled Spanish wines while munching on tasty snacks. Elvira was gracious, friendly, funny, and knowledgeable throughout. I would highly recommend Elvira as a guide for your travels in Spain."

An absolute must do hiking in Montserrat!
"We had an absolutely amazing day with Xavi. We were in Barcelona for a week and by far this was THE best adventure we had. Xavi picked us up and explained a lot about the history of Montserrat and culture on our way there and then we started by seeing the Basilica and the Black Madonna.
We then went for a two hour hike all around the mountains of Montserrat which was incredibly beautiful to be in the clouds- so peaceful and serene. Hiking around the mountains is a must do- as you are away from the tourists and you get to visit so many of the hermitage sites that are built into the mountains. Xavi was the best as he gave us such a wealth of information about these sites. It’s absolutely beautiful to be surrounded by the mountains and forest and history.
After the hike we enjoyed an amazing Catalan lunch and then went and visited the Museum which had Picasso and Dali paintings.
This is an amazing experience. And we highly recommend Xavi. At the end we felt like family and learned so much from him. If you enjoy being active- DO THIS hiking excursion! "

"Elvira was very attentive and took the tone to keep our pre- teen daughter involved in the activity. The monastery is a soul fulfilling experience. While the winery tour was fun and personalize. Highly recommend Elvira, she personalizes and customizes the tour. 10 stars !!!!!"
