"The Bo Kaap Cape Malay Food and Culture Walk with Bulelani was one of the highlights of my time in South Africa. Bulelani is an amazing guide—not only because he knows the food and culture of Cape Town, but because he brings the city to life. He took me to places that most tourists would probably never find, or might simply walk right past. Along the way, he shared fascinating stories about Cape Town’s history and culture, from government buildings and the city park to art galleries and even a piece of the Berlin Wall. But what really makes Bulelani special is Bulelani himself. He has a magnetic personality, a big, unforgettable smile, and an obvious pride in his country that made me proud to be there, too. And he has a wonderful way of introducing you not just to Cape Town, but to the people who make the city what it is. I had just come from Johannesburg, where I was repeatedly warned about how dangerous the city was. As a result, I was initially reluctant to walk around Cape Town on my own. But having Bulelani by my side completely changed my perspective. I discovered that Cape Town is NOT Johannesburg, and I now feel comfortable returning to many of the places he introduced me to on my own. If you want to understand South Africa beyond the typical tourist experience, I highly recommend spending time with Bulelani on this fantastic tour. "We had a fantastic tour with Trevor in Cape Town. We started at the Town Hall, next stop was the Castle with a great explanation of the history of Cape Town, made our way through the Gardens, and enjoyed a very local and delicious Malay lunch in Bo-Kaap. The tour ended perfectly at a great wine bar with a chilled Chenin Blanc. "Wonderful experience of the hidden Cape Town Gilbert took us from postoffice turned food hall, through shebeens and fancy chocolate bars into little private museums and hotels - who just hid a tiny bit of the city’s history. All along sharing his own experience of the city and the city history "
