She speaks with so much passion and enthusiasm about the history of Porto and Portugal, while also introducing us to some delicious local specialties. The combination of interesting stories, local culture and great food made the tour feel very personal and authentic. The time absolutely flew by! "We really liked that the tastes weren't heavy or bulky so one didn't end up feeling like a foie gras goose. And as a personal tour could be tailored. Through the course of the tour we sampled items that covered breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Maria was extremely knowledgeable about Porto (being a local!) and Portugal and because her English comprehension and vocab is as fluent as us native English speakers we were able to delve into all sorts of topics about life in Portugal with ease.
