"Me and my husband had a wonderful time with Miguel yesterday! He took us around to try some delicious traditional foods and drinks, told us a lot about Porto and Portugal in general and I gotta say that was a fantastic experience. Great food tour
"Helena did a food tour with my wife and me showing us the highlights of different foods in Porto. She did a great job of describing the area as well as showcasing different foods. Having a private tour is great and Helena does a wonderful job. She is well known among the different food stores and vendors! Overall great tastings. "
"We booked our food tour with Miguel for the evening we arrived in Porto! We were a little tired but quickly forgot about it as the tour started! Every stop was interesting & delicious! We loved learning about the culture around the foods, the history around the different dishes and experiencing the different local restaurants and markets. Miguel was so much fun and kept the tour moving along! It was truly the perfect way to start our vacation! "
"We greatly enjoyed out Tastings of Porto with our local guide Fernando. He helped us understand the historical changes that have occurred here in Porto. As a result, we had a deeper appreciation for the various foods we got to sample and the regions where some of the foods had came from. Fernando shared his memories of Porto from when he was young and things have changed even within his lifetime. We would highly recommend this tour with Fernando. He is passionate about Porto and provides a food tasting experience that is unforgettable."
"Our family of four (mom, dad and two adult sons ages 22 and 24) so enjoyed our tour with Miguel. He was a delightful, interesting, fun and friendly ambassador for his beloved city. He took us on a wonderful, off the beaten path, culinary tour in places we never would have ventured on our own. Our eclectic small tastings included, special cheeses, port, figs, fruit, meat pastries, wine, sardines, shrimp, custard tart, specialty hot dog, beer, steak sandwich, prosciutto, olives, bread and chocolates and more... Every stop was a bite or two but it added up over the course of the tour to make us full and happy. We enjoyed learning more about the Portuguese culture and history while getting to know the very special and unique Miguel. Would highly recommended him as a food tour guide."
"Miguel is great!! We set up a food tour our first day in Porto and happy we did. Miguel was full of useful information and tips that made our visit easy and fun. He was personable and friendly and funny. We had great food and drinks and recommend this to all new visitors to Porto!!"
"There were two of us on this taste of Porto food tour. Helena was so informative and pleasant. We felt as if we spent the afternoon with a longtime friend. She provided us insights not only of the food culture but also of the history as well as traditions of the Portuguese people. Truly enjoyable experience and I will look her up if I return to this beautiful country.

"We had wonderful Sunday tour. The market was closed on Sunday, but Helena took us to a number of small cafes and shops. The tour was very informative and we enjoyed very pleasant conversations about Porto, the history, food , and our families. It was well worth the price."
"My husband and I had a wonderful afternoon trying tasty treats, fantastic food and beverages of all kinds with Vera. It was clear from the outset Vera is a true local who knows the establishments she takes you to well, oftentimes jumping in to lead the tastings herself which was a lot of fun. She gives great insight into the places and takes you to truly local spots. After she was attentive and responsive to provide details about the spots we went and provide additional recommendations. Highly recommend!"
