"We had a great time meeting with Jorge and heading out to some local eats. As tourists, it is easy to get caught up up with the more expensive, less authentic places to eat. But to hang out with someone who knows the area and some great places was truly a delight. Jorge was personable, friendly, smart, and down to earth. He took us to one of his favorite lunch places and a pastel spot which we would not have likely found ourselves. His personal contacts at these places and the Mercado de Bolhao was helpful for us to try some good eats. Mayumi was incredible and brought the very best of Porto food culture to life with interesting lessons of history and Portugal culture.
Mayumi was flexible to build the best tour to our interests. As a result, our time was unforgettable. We enjoyed great port wine samples that was well-paired with meats, cheeses, and dried fruit. (Our lessons with Mayumi exceeded a port lodge tour the following day.) We enjoyed several of the best Porto dishes (and more wine), and an incredible pastry for dessert.
Our time was fun, educational, and made for a great dinner. We'd highly recommend this tour with Mayumi."

Perfect Porto!
"Many people thought we were crazy taking the high speed train for a day trip from Lisbon to Porto. WRONG! We had an absolutely wonderful and perfect day with Mayumi, doing two consecutive tours (Highlights & Hidden Gems/ 10 Tastings). She was knowledgeable and friendly, and after 6 hours we felt like we had seen (and eaten!) everything!!! Her love for her City really shone through, and the 6 hours flew by quickly. By the time we returned to the station for the ride home, we were exhausted but thrilled to have made a new BFF in Porto. Whether staying in Porto or Lisbon, I would wholeheartedly recommend spending the day with Mayumi!!!"
