Not for Angelo but for Lucia
"We booked a tour with Angelo but it was at extremely short notice and with food restrictions which Angelo could not accommodate. At Angelo's request, in stepped Lucia! We were extremely fortunate for Luci to be able to accommodate us. She met us promptly and was very fluent in English. She took us to restaurants that we may never have tried on our own- we tried grilled Sardines and cod fish cutlets- the top staples and then took us walking through Alfama, Chiada and Bario alto (hope I spelled them right) pointing out historical sites and their histories. We tried some juices as we do not do alcohol. We tasted the famous pastels de Belem and then tried some other savory crepes. The tour lasted around 3.5 hours and we were very pleased with Lucia. This tour was enjoyable for its exposure to the local culture, food and punctuated with Lucia's commentary on the current state of Portuguese society and its promises for the future. Would recommend without reservation! Tips: 1. Book early and have more options especially with dietary restrictions. 2. People who drink alcohol and are comfortable with pork/ham products may find this tour more value for money than those who don't. 3. Lucia is awesome!:))"

Review about Lucia
"Had a great day touring Lisbon with Lucia! She showed us many local treats and specialties. Lucia has a very warm and down to earth personality, and she quickly felt like a friend. She’s very knowledgeable about history and culture, and the best places to visit in Lisbon. The green wine, cod fritters, chorizo, and pastel de nata were definite highlights. And don’t forget the Ginja! The next day we went to one of the local restaurants she recommended and it was terrific. An absolutely wonderful afternoon - can’t recommend Lucia enough!!"

Sofia is the best!
"Sofia was so friendly and knowledgeable and a lot of fun. She knew exactly how much to tell us to keep us informed and still held the interest of the kids. The places she took us to for the tastings were excellent choices and we had the best time with her. We definitely recommend her to anybody and if and when we come back to Portugal, we’ll have her take us on another one of her tours. Sofia is awesome! "

Sónia is the best
"Our time with Sónia was the best. We were a little late, and she was very understanding. She took us to eat where the locals eat and at our pace. And she made it interesting with her history knowledge and fun facts. We felt like we were hanging out with a friend we’ve known for years. We’ll definitely refer Sónia to our friends who visit Lisbon!"

Sofia was amazing!
"We loved Sofia and our food/history tour in Lisbon. Sofia was kind and knowledgeable and took us to places we would never have known to go to ourselves. She taught us about Portuguese and Lisbon history that was interesting to even our 7 year and she accompanied to her picky eating. Sofia was wonderful to spend time with and we would recommend her to anyone traveling in Lisbon. "

Amazing Food Tour with Antonio
"My daughter and I had an absolutely fantastic tour with Antonio! From the moment we met him, his energy and enthusiasm were infectious. He was not only a delight to chat with but also a treasure trove of fascinating stories about Lisbon's rich history. Along the way, he introduced us to some hidden culinary gems, and the food was nothing short of spectacular—delicious, abundant, and diverse. Each dish told a story of its own, and Antonio’s insights made everything even more memorable. If you're looking for a perfect blend of history, culture, and mouthwatering food, I can't recommend this tour enough. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss!"

Great tour with André
"We did our tour with André the first night we arrived in Lisbon. It was a wonderful introduction to local food in the city. He was also knowledgeable about Portugal’s history so was able to sprinkle this in throughout. He took us to restaurants we never would have found on our own! And was great about giving feedback on what else we should do (or shouldn’t waste our time on) for the rest of our trip. I would recommend this tour and André to anyone interested in sampling local foods with a laidback, honest guide! "
