"Our group of six wanted a personalized tour of Sintra while we were in Lisbon, and we were so fortunate to have found Mauro! He was easy to deal with while setting up and the communication was great. We had an itinerary of our own for the day, but after chatting with him, he made suggestions that were SO much better than what we had planned, we were really thankful for his expertise. He grew up in Sintra, and so he knew ALL the ins and outs of getting around, parking, tickets, and also gave us great background a history about what we saw. We have to say tho that the highlight was the restaurant where we ate. It was one that Mauro knew well since his family had been going there for years. The food was fabulous, and the service was so great, we felt a little like family too!! Mauro even sat down before the meal and explained all the foods on the menu. Very authentic Portuguese food :). Mauro is a terrific young man, and made the day fantastic! We highly recommend him, and know that booking with him was a great experience. We spent 12 days in Portugal, and took at least 10 tours with different guides. We all agreed that he was one of the two BEST guides we had our entire trip! His English is excellent, he has a sense of humor, and made the whole day fun and memorable. BOOK WITH HIM!!"

"We were four guys from North Carolina on trips with our wives in Spain and Portugal. We decided to take some time off from shopping, etc. in Lisbon and booked this tour with João. João speaks excellent English. From the time he picked us up at our hotel, through our visit to the wonderful and historic Templar city of Tomar he was like an encyclopedia of knowledge on Portugal. With information on the Templars help in founding modern Portugal, the merger into the royal family with the Templars and their impact to this day. We also discussed subjects as diverse as Columbus being originally from Portugal and Salazar’s impact on neutrality of a Portugal in WW2 and assisting the Jews in fleeing Europe. A great day of sightseeing and history!! Highly recommend!"
