"Our family of five adults (2 parents and 3 grown children) had a wonderful Hidden Gems of Lisbon tour with Francisco. First, his English was impeccable. It makes everything so much easier to enjoy when we don’t have to strain to understand the language. That can be an understandable consequence for us tourists who don’t know the native tongue, but with Francisco it was not a concern at all. Second, we had just arrived in town from a long overnight trip from the US, and although we were exhausted, he kept our attention the whole time. We walked briskly to some the best places in town to see and come back to later for a deeper look. Cathedral, castle of St. George (Jorge), “Eiffel” elevator, beautiful views, shopping districts, port/ginjinia tasting, good restaurants. He also gave us helpful tips on our visits to Belem and Sintra, where we headed in the days to follow. That was really valuable for the rest of our stay in Lisbon. Third, he catered the walk around our requests. We were mainly interested in Lisbon and Portuguese history, and Francisco did not disappoint. He knew ancient and modern facts and was especially well versed in the monarchies and rulers. Super! He also spoke my husband’s and son’s favorite language in Europe — soccer (or futebol). They all got quite animated when comparing team favorites. Lastly, Francisco knows many languages, loves his city, knows everything you want to know as a tourist, and has a fabulous, fun, friendly, patient, and kind personality to top it all off. He met us at our hotel (he was timely and we were slightly late and he didn’t say a word) and didn’t rush our tour at all. In fact, he gave us more than the 3 hours and we were very grateful for his generosity. Overall, it was an amazing tour. We highly recommend Francisco and believe his tour was well worth the money, time, and energy. We would definitely go on another tour with him if we return to Lisbon! Thank you, Francisco!"

Based on her ratings and background we booked a private walking tour of the hidden gems. Sonia is an amazing woman with a wealth of knowledge and unique experience. He took us to beautiful spots in Sintra and recommended a lovely place for lunch in Cabo da Roca that we really enjoyed. We also had a chance to explore the seaside town of Cascais. Everything was well organized and we never felt rushed. It was truly a great day and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a memorable and stress-free way to see Sintra."
