"We were an extended family of 6, in Faro for the first time. We do a lot of food tours on holidays so wanted to do this to learn more about the local food and drink. Telma was easy to communicate with, friendly, and easy to get along with. We started at the market where we got several things to take away with us for later. We tried sweet potato, cherries, plums, beans etc. Then we walked to place to sit down for lunch where we had a large selection of dishes including beef with pickles, cod potato salad, octopus with coriander, potato skins, tempura green beans, grilled chicken on the bone and plenty of house white wine. We finished at a store round the corner with some after dinner drinks such as pastel de nata cream, port, almond liquor. Overall really nice food and drink. Compared to other tours we have been on, we perhaps had less drinks than we've had elsewhere but plenty of food with some we took away too; so overall good value for money. Would have loved a bit more history and stories about the area etc, but we didnt specify this before the tour so thats fair enough. Thank you Telma! "

"My wife and I, along with two friends, had an absolutely wonderful experience on “The 10 Tastings of Faro” tour with our host, Telma. From the very beginning, the tour felt less like a formal excursion and more like spending the morning with a longtime friend proudly introducing us to her city. Our first stop at the Faro Municipal Market immediately set the tone for the entire experience. Seeing where the locals shop and interact gave us an authentic introduction to Faro and Portuguese culture. Telma’s warm personality, energy, and easygoing style made everyone feel comfortable right away. Throughout the tour, we enjoyed an incredible variety of tastings. We sampled freshly sliced prosciutto and goat cheese, delicious Pao Rio Maior and Regueifa bread with dates, and even tried nêspera fruit. Lunch was outstanding — gazpacho, beef stew, cod, salad, chouriço sausage, olives, and generous servings of both red and white wine. By the end of lunch, no one could possibly leave hungry! Dessert was equally memorable. We stopped at a lovely café where we enjoyed pasteis de nata and several local specialties, all absolutely delicious. Additional tasting stops throughout the tour rounded out the experience perfectly. What made the experience truly special, however, was Telma herself. She was personable, knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about Faro, its culture, and its food. Her enthusiasm made the entire tour feel relaxed, authentic, and memorable. If you are visiting Faro and want a genuine local food experience beyond the typical tourist spots, I highly recommend this tour. It was one of the highlights of our visit to Portugal."
