"Sylvan is incredibly knowledgeable about food and wine, having worked in the wine industry for several years in different countries. He took us one a great tour of some of his favorite places in multiple neighborhoods around the city. He very expertly adjusted our tastings to accommodate our dietary restrictions. We got to taste many typical Lisbon dishes, from cheese and pata negra pork, to sweets and pastel de nata (of course). We also sampled white and red wines, as well as port. We loved it to much that we bought port to bring home and cheese and pork to share with my brother in Paris next week. Definitely recommend Sylvain's tour!"

"Alphe was an amazing host for our very large group. His demeanour and eloquence were among the best of any tour guide any of us had experienced before. Whilst our focus was on the food of Lisbon, Alphe built an intertwined narrative around the food, connecting it to the history, geology and anthropology of the city over the last few hundred years. The food component was exactly what we wanted, with an array of great local joints serving traditional food from the city. Alphe was also incredibly professional in dealing with very late provided dietary requirements. "This is the first time I’ve ever booked a tour guided by a local, and I was so impressed! I was traveling with my nephew (his first time outside the US), so I was unsure he’d enjoy or appreciate a guided tour, so I was surprised to learn he loved it as much as I did. Elisa was so knowledgable about local history & culture, and introduced us to several delicious foods. If you’ve never thought you’d enjoy sardines, you must try Portuguese grilled sardines. (My nephew enjoyed getting the chance to filet it himself). While I can’t recall the name of the restaurant, Elisa will ensure you get the very best. On our walks between destinations we learned about some of the local architecture, neighborhoods, and artists. Ask about Lisbon’s Banksy and the student of Eiffel who designed a local attraction. We finished our tour with some Ginjinha, and a stop for the city’s best Pasteis de Nata. If you’re looking for a food tour with a knowledgable, delightful and charming guide, book with Elisa right away. You’ll be glad you did. "
