"To be honest, our private tour (just 2 of us) in the historic area of Manila did not start out well...the meeting point listed in TripAdvisor was incorrect and so our tour was delayed an hour while the tour guide tried to find us in the pouring rain. However, once Withlocals was made aware of the inconvenience, they offered just compensation--which was appropriate and appreciated. Our tour guide Joem was extraordinary! Excellent English, extremely friendly, and a wealth of knowledge regarding the history and culture of the Philippines--absolutely top notch tour guide! "

"Rodolfo worked with us in personalizing the tour. He was very accommodating. We enjoyed the tour and learned alot of history from it. He was such a great guy and my children loved him. He took us to Intramuros, Manila Cathedral, thru China Town, Quiapo Church and the surrounding market. He even took us to his favorite crafts store which was hidden so we would have never knew existed. My daughter loves crafts and she was very excited and we spent a considerable amount of time shopping there given that we cant buy/find most of the stuff in there for sale in U.S. craft stores. He even took us to a restaurant where you could buy the best fresh mango drinks. He spoke fluent English and also speaks German. I would highly recommend Rodolfo if you are looking to book a tour. "

"Our food tour experience with Joemarie was wonderful! He brought us to some really cool spots (some of which even local Filipinos don’t know about) and told us about the history of each dish. Not only was the food delicious, but Joemarie is absolutely delightful to be around! He is outgoing, fun, and very thoughtful. For example, when he found out we were bringing our 3 year old, he brought his little brother on the tour so she would have a playmate. Can’t recommend Joemarie enough!"
