"Even though we booked “Jebel Akhdar Day Trip,” Yousuf accommodated our wishes and drove us to the canyon. He took us to explore Jebel Shams, and it was absolutely amazing! The drive through the mountains was stunning — every turn revealed another incredible view. The walk through the canyon was definitely the highlight: breathtaking scenery, peaceful atmosphere, and Yousuf’s great stories about the area made it really special. We finished the day at the old village od Misfat al Abriyyin endulging arabic coffee with dates and stunning views. Yousuf was friendly, easygoing, and full of knowledge, making the whole day feel relaxed and orchestrated according to our wishes. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide or a more beautiful experience. Highly recommended!"

He was communicative with details before the tour and arrived at our hotel on time (was flexible to change the meeting point for pick up and drop off at our hotel which was out of the city centre). He was also flexible enough to focus on what we wanted to do given we had to be back in the hotel than the planned tour end. His car was perfect for a long day out, so we were comfortable the whole day (and perfectly clean!). "We had a superb day out with Yousuf. This tour involves a long drive but well worth seeing. In addition to visiting Wadi Bani Khalid and the Wahiba Sands, we had an unscheduled stop at Yousuf’s family farm where we were treated to ginger tea, cake and fruit and were able to hold their 2 week old baby Arabian gazelle. "What a tour! We had a perfect mixture of things to see and do – not too long and not too short. It all started with being picked up at the agreed time at our hotel by Yousuf Alharti who, by the way, reacted very promptly to our request for a very short term booking of the tour the night before. We then rode (in a spacious, airconditioned 4wd) past quaint mountains to our first highlight, Wadi Bani Khalid, where we enjoyed a refreshing swim in turquoise waters surrounded by spectacular rock formations. Next stop: Wahiba Sands. There were dunes as far as the eye could see. After walking around a bit we were treated to a thrilling ride up and down steep dunes (Yousuf is a skilled and carful driver). To top it off, we were privileged to experience true Omani hospitality: after having been shown the traditional irrigation system and old (abandoned) typical Omani houses in Yousuf‘s home village, we were invited to his parents‘ house for coffee, oranges and (homegrown) delicious dates (we were even given dates to take home).
