"Our daytrip to Jabal Al Akhdar has been an unforgettable experience. The communication was completely reailable and easy going. Yousuf responded always very fast to any questions I had in advanced. He picked us up in the hotel punctually in the morning in his new, spotless clean car. He drives very good, smooth. He knows much about culture, history and the country itselfs. We could ask him everything and the answers are very informative. His English is perfect and he is empathic, friendly, discret, warm-hearted and humorous. He surprised us on our way with a stop in his house and where met his parents. He served us lunch and dates (from there own farm) in the garden there. An unforgettable experience and we felt very honoured. We asked him where to buy a colored tradionell abaya, because we wanted one for a visit in the mosque. He drove us to a store and a tailor where we choosed beautiful fabrics/materials. The tailor took our measurements and Yousuf deposited our abayas to the hotel two days later. They were beautiful and the price was very, very reasonable. After that our drive to Jebel Al Akhdar continuied. The view and all the hotspots in the mountain took our breath away! We drove from one spot to another, walked around as long as we wanted. We were always asked what we wanted to do or see. He made recommendations and showed us the most beautiful spots. A sidenote – being an entire day on its way, we stopped at beautiful 5-Star-hotels where we just were allowed from the management to walk in and enjoy the view from there terrasses, balcony, taking pictures and above all using their spotless clean bathroom without consuming anything. "Today Yousuf showd us Musqat. We arrived this morning in Oman and Yousuf was so kind to allow us a late start. He drived us arround with his SUV and showed us the highlights of Musqat and explained us all about the history. His English is very good making it easy to talk with him. "Even though we booked “Jebel Akhdar Day Trip,” Yousuf accommodated our wishes and drove us to the canyon. He took us to explore Jebel Shams, and it was absolutely amazing! The drive through the mountains was stunning — every turn revealed another incredible view. The walk through the canyon was definitely the highlight: breathtaking scenery, peaceful atmosphere, and Yousuf’s great stories about the area made it really special. We finished the day at the old village od Misfat al Abriyyin endulging arabic coffee with dates and stunning views. Yousuf was friendly, easygoing, and full of knowledge, making the whole day feel relaxed and orchestrated according to our wishes. "We have used With Locals in Rome and Athens, and they do not disappoint! So it was a given that we booked our tour of Muscat city, a fascinating place. Nasser picked us up and we drove around this fabulous clean, well laid out city, visiting the Sultan grand mosque, which was incredible and well worth a visit! The lovely staff helped me with fitting my Abaya (dress) and lihaf (headscarf) , which I hired as dress ettiequte is a must for woman and men (long pants, long sleeve shirt) in Oman and of course, should be respected. We visited the local fish market and grocery market in Matrah, the Matrah Souq (market - buy your tee shirts in here not outside on street - better pricing), old Muscat where you will stop at the Sultan's palace and the Portuguese Fort from outside. We choose not to go into either the Royal Opera House or Museum (due to travel tiredness). Nasser took us to a lovely local restaurant, Ramssa, the Omani food was really good. Nasser took time to explain and answer any of our many questions about Muscat. Great tour, thoroughly enjoyed the content and of course our lovely Guide."
