"We had been caught in the rain and wind affecting Morocco and Spain. We had to cancel an overnight tour to Chefchaouen. It was our first day and we needed something to do to make us feel better. With Locals offered a food tour beginning at 5:00 and we jumped on it. Thami came to our rescue and didn’t show any lack of enthusiasm for such late notice. He was positive and in control several times needing to find an alternate tasting location due weather closings. He really knew his stuff. We learned history and cultural facts which make his tour more than a food experience. The tastings served as our evening meal. We were quite stuffed by the final stop. He made sure we arrived safely back at our hotel. All in all it was a successful venture and a good introduction to Tangier."

"Our only regret was not taking the food tour with Thami as soon as we arrived in Tangier. What a great way to learn all about his city, the food and culture. Before the tour Tangier seemed a bit overwhelming with all the small twisting streets and the chaos of all the people, shops and markets. But after his tour we almost feel like locals. Thami seemed to know every shop, restaurant and market stall. Everywhere we went people knew him and welcomed us into their stores, restaurants and stalls. Even other tour guides we passed along the way told us we were lucky to have him as our guide. I can't recall everything we tried but it was a lot more than the 10 tastings we signed up for. This tour was an amazing way to get to know this incredible city. Book Thami for the day you arrive and your visit will be so much better. "
