"Our family (2 adults and 2 older teenagers) had a fantastic day out with Omar exploring the Ourika Valley. Omar was lovely company and a very safe driver, negotiating the winding and sometimes tricky mountain roads. Our guide walking up to the waterfall, through the brightly coloured cafes along the river, was also great. We got a feel for what Berber life was like, visiting the local market and one of the village homes for mint tea and a beautiful view. Highly recommended."

Omar shows us a lot of local live, takes us to the local market and shares his Berber knowlodge. The mountain guide Moustafa did also a great job and we had a lunch at his family house! "Omar was a great guide. He made the trip extremely comfortable. Omar’s kind and caring nature and love for the place he grew up shone through and helped us experience the area in a more authentic way. Omar checked in before each stop to ensure it was something we wanted to do. There was absolutely no pressure on any activity. The Atlas Mountains are truly beautiful and show a different perspective on Morocco that can’t be seen in the cities. Highly recommend wearing pants (I wore a long dress which was no appropriate), hiking boots and taking sunscreen for the hike up the mountain to the waterfall - it is a bit of a climb over rocks and on uneven terrain."

"Our family of four really enjoyed our tour with Brahim and Mohammed. They were both very friendly and answered all the many questions our children asked. The tour started with Brahim picking us up at our Riad in Marrakech and driving us up into the mountains. We stopped at a Women's Coop to see how Argan oil is made, and purchased some Argan products. Next stop was in the town of Imil to start the amazing hike through multiple villages. Mohammed took us to a rug shop in a very small village, over to a stunning waterfall, and to our lunch stop. The food was delicious and more than we could finish. The views and experience were a very welcome refreshment from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. We cannot recommend this trip more highly. "My husband and I had a marvelous time touring the Oaurzazate region of Morocco with Omar. He speaks perfect English and he is an entertainer. Lots of stories and other information to share with us. "Brahim is the perfect guide for the Atlas Mountains day excursion. His wealth of local knowledge and friendly disposition are wonderful. Top tip if you are on the tour while children are out of school bring a long a couple deflated soccer balls for the local less fortunate kids who, in a cute manner, try to block the mountain roads for sweets or soccer balls. "The trip to the Atlas Mountains and Berber village with Omar was one of those few days we will never forget as a family (kids are 18 and 16). Omar picked us up at our hotel and first took us to a Berber market, which is an experience in itself. Next, we were welcomed into an Imazighen home where we had mint tea and snacks and got a brief view of life in the village. From there we met another guide who took us on a one hour hike in the mountains. We are not mountain climbers and we did not find the hike to be a strain, so I think it should be fine for most folks if you are reasonably in shape. Just be sure to wear hiking shoes or at least good sneakers. It can be slippery. The views were AMAZING and the cool air in the hills was a welcome relief. I have a healthy fear of heights, but I was only truly anxious at one area of the climb. The guide was slightly more agile on the rocks than a mountain goat, so he made it much easier by showing us the best paths to take. We then had lunch at a local restaurant along the river, which was very scenic. On the way back to Marrakech we stopped at a few spots to take photos from the mountains; the drive is breathtaking (from the views and from the terror of the sheer cliffs on the side of the road). Omar speaks excellent English, is extremely courteous, and was happy to answer all of our many questions. If you can only do one tour in Morocco, do this one. 11 out of 10. "

"We enjoyed our day with Brahim. Comfortable car. Nice walk to a small waterfall. And then a delicious lunch at his family home. We requested a stop on the way back at Kasbah Tamadot to see it and enjoy a cocktail overlooking their gardens and view of the mountains. Just a lovely day to escape the hustle of the city. "
