We also felt that while the historical sites are beautiful, hearing more about the day-to-day "real life" for locals living outside the Medina walls would have added a great modern layer to the tour. "Hassan was a brilliant guide. We had been to Marrakesh 36 years before so had not a clue how to navigate the alleyways and souks. Hassan met us at our riad after great communication to arrange an early start due to Ramadan. I was concerned our tour would be too shopping focused but it was not at all that way. Hassan took us to interesting hidden madrassas and mosques. He introduced us to locals and we were honoured by prayers. We learnt so much about the history of the medina and the lives of the people living and working there. We did do some shopping with true crafts people. There was no pressure to buy and felt safe with Hassan by our side that when we did want to buy we paid the right price. We even had a tile specially carved for us which was delivered to us mid tour. Amazing. I would recommend Hassan in a heartbeat. "

"Mohamed was booked at short notice , but his communication was swift and accommodating. On the day he was punctual and from the outset he was fully committed to accommodating our requirements and timeframe. "Our guide was excellent. He showed us several hidden local spots that we would have never found on our own. He also shared many interesting facts about Madrasa Ben Youssef. Since we are from Europe, we especially appreciated how he explained many Islamic customs and cultural details, helping us better understand the local traditions. The only downside was that we booked the “Full Coverage Marrakech City Tour – approx. 5 hours”, but the tour actually ended after about 3 hours and 30 minutes. Since it was a private tour for two people and we paid €170 for a 5-hour experience, we expected the tour to last roughly the advertised duration. Ending significantly earlier than planned was a bit disappointing. "
