"We met Hiro at his very popular cafe which was a great start to the day. Our tour was fun and informative and Hiro then walked us to a locals only Izakaya for lunch, after lunch and well into overtime for the tour he walked us to an amazing, non-descript speakeasy that we would never have found on our own. A great way to finish our visit to Nara! "

Creative and flexible
"Hiroyuki gave us a wonderful introduction to Nara by bike. He was flexible about meeting us, when our lunch lasted longer than we had expected; he showed us a traditional Chinese pharmacy, founded in 1124 and owned by 24 generations of the same family; he helped us explore local antique shops to find a deck of \"100 poems\" playing cards; he took us for a ride along the river to the Great Buddha Temple and bought crackers to feed the deer. We had no specific objectives for our visit, and were happy that Hiro was so creative in proposing things for us to do. We recommend him highly."

"Hiro was a wonderful host. He filled the full 3 hours and I was thoroughly impressed. Friendly, knowledgeable. There’s really not much more I could ask for. He treated us to a sake tasting at the end to see how it compared to the sake we had a day before. The spot was SUPER local and I would have never found it by myself. At the end he recommended a great local spot for our dinner and it did not disappoint."

His family are from Nara and he shared their history and traditions, bringing the place to life for us in a way that could only be done with a local. It was not just enjoyable finding out about beautiful Nara, but also learning a bit more about Hiro as well. We had a great time with him and would thoroughly recommend the experience. "
