"A last minute booking after enjoying a walking tour with Ryuki the previous day we thoroughly enjoyed our food tour and spending time with Ryuki again . We started our tour with some fabulous sushi at a standing bar , somewhere we may not have ventured into ourselves . Ryuki is a real foodie and shared so much knowledge about Japanese food . Ryuki navigated us around the Nishiki market seeking out lots of things for us to try while accomodating special requests . So delicious . On parting ways Ryuki gave us recommendations for ramen for dinner . I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to sample and learn more about Japanese food and Ryuki was the perfect guide for us . Arigato gozaimasu Ryuki. "

"First of all pick Guia for the Kyoto food tour!! She was absolutely incredible, not only does she know all the best spots but she basically knows all the vendors even having inside jokes which was so cute! I’m literally still thinking about those tofu donuts she got us. She’s also fantastic at catering with what you like to eat and don’t as well as can’t eat, my friend has a seafood allergy and was great at finding options"

"We were very happy with Eiji. He asked and listened to what we wanted to do. He skipped some things and added others as a result. It was a great tour. He also knows all the good picture spots and angles! We have some very cool pictures thanks to him. "Eiji was so nice and knowledgeable. He gave us delicious food we wouldn't have thought to get at Nishiki Market. You should definitely be adventurous and try his top choices, even though he said he would try to accommodate any dietary preferences or restrictions. (Just bear in mind it might be hard to do so!) Eiji took over 75 pictures during the tour, which allowed us to be in the moment and enjoy all the amazing food. At the end of the tour, he took us to the Gion district for sight-seeing. I highly recommend choosing Eiji for your food tour!"

"This tour was fantastic! Eiji made the experience exceptional, and I would recommend him to anyone considering this tour. For the Nishiki Market portion of the tour, Eiji recommended the foods and we had the ability to decline and try something different. We chose to take his recommendations and try the things he thought we would enjoy. He focused on the shops that had been in the market for a very long time and not the new pop-up tourist trap stalls. He took a ton of pictures for us as we tried the different things. He also explained the origin/history of the foods we were trying. Part two of the tour was even better! Eiji took us to several different shrines and explained the rituals that are performed by those who worship at the shrines. He walked us through areas in Gion and pointed out things we never would have known or never would have seen. He gave us an education into things that we were interested in learning but didn't expect to get from this tour. This was by far one of the best tours I have taken in many years of traveling. When I go back to Kyoto, I will book a tour with him again! Thank you Eiji for making this a wonderful time for us. "
