"Yoji gave us an amazing 5 hour walking tour of Kanazawa. He met us promptly at our hotel and we set off for the castle, then Kenrokuen. Yoji’s English is perfect and he is very engaging, answering all of our questions about the sights and life in Japan. We then headed off to the geiko district, with a quick rest at a hidden away coffee stop and a demonstration of how to apply gold leaf. We explored some of the sights before going to the Samurai district and finished up with lunch at a hip burger joint. Along the way Yoji highlighted some great spots for shopping but there was no pressure to buy. All in all a very well paced tour, ideal as an introduction to Kanazawa."

Before the trip, she had great comms with us and understood what we wanted to focus on doing the hidden highlights trip. She was easy going, thoughtful and professional. Her understanding of the local history, past and present, is excellent. Great “behind the scenes” tour of the Sakuda gold leaf workshop. Brilliant!!
