"Selda was very knowledgeable about Japanese culture and answered questions about the geiko lifestyle. We ate at a restaurant in the market since most stalls close early. We also had soft serve ice cream with gold leaf for dessert. Selda chose the restaurant based on our preference and she really listened and was mindful of my son’s allergies. We also really appreciated her recommendations on where to eat during the rest of our stay in Kanazawa. Her English is perfect and it was very easy communicating with her. "
"We only had the evening to visit the highlights of Kanazawa. We really wanted to see the samurai and geiko districts after sunset. Monse took us on a lovely stroll through these, explaining lots about the history and culture of Kamazawa and region. The stores had already before our tour started, but Monse had thoughtfully bought some delicious local sweets for us before. She was very kind and informative. We greatly enjoyed our tour. "Lucy is the best! Extensive knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a desire to show as much as possible. We spent 3 hours exploring most interesting places. Time flew and although there was a fair amount of walking we knew we seeing and hearing something special - Lucy doesn’t just regurgitate facts about history but puts her own warm personal touch on them with a depth of feeling that is difficult to describe.
