The cicchetti that we sampled were fresh seafood and not just the kind on toast you see too often. "Giada took us to 4 different venues for our 10 tastings, each with a different selection and ambiance. The first bacaro (bar) had an informal neighborhood feel and a wide selection of cicchettis. She explained the different kinds we sampled and about spritz’s. We ventured on to two more places, sampling more tasty items. We ended our evening in a neighborhood wine bar with a charcuterie board and wine. She explained the meats and the wine, then finished with a selection of 4 desserts from the pastry shop across the street. Giada was very knowledgeable about the wine, the food and the history. It truly was a taste of Venezia. And fun seeing it through her eyes. "

In addition to teaching us about traditional Venetian foods, she taught and showed us lots of hidden gems and even took us up to a rooftop view of the city. And adapted it to aboid the super high steps of Rialto Bridge. Claudia is very friendly, smart, well educated and super fun!! It was like taking a tour from one of our family friends. I can highly recommend Claudia for the food tour but she will be great no matter which tour you choose. "
