"What a perfect introduction to Venice. Lucrezia’s passion for sharing her city with us through stories, curious facts and locations was engaging. It’s things like the early digital clock in the piazza, the specially carved cat water bowls at the town water cisterns and the ugly faces on the church bell towers that have stayed with us as we walk the streets and alleyways. Lucrezia taught us to read the sights and clues we’d normally walk past to bring the history of Venice to life. She was also able to link our movie goers knowledge of Venice to life through pointing out set locations and sights for well known James Bond and Spiderman scenes. Lucrezia’s tips on where to get the best tiramisu, gelato, fresh food, and the best Venetian restaurants to dine at have made us feel a little like seasoned locals. Leading up to our trip Lucrezia helped us understand how to get around with the public transport boats, and at the end of our tour she explained the best way to visit Murano and Burano. Thank you Lu for making our stay in Venice so rich in meaning and experience. "
"It is difficult to imagine a better guide to Venice than Roberto. Having been born in Venice, his roots are there and he is steeped in its long history and the different cultures that have contributed to that history. His deep understanding of the different styles of architecture which he points out all along the 3 hour walking tour added much to the more obvious beauty of the City. The tour’s journey through off-the-beaten-trail alleys and small streets conveyed an understanding of the City’s history that otherwise would be lost on the average visitor to Venice and his thorough knowledge of that history which he shares throughout the tour leave you wanting to learn even more. "We only had a half day to visit and explore the majestic city of Venice, and Lucia was absolutely up to the challenge. She guided us through the traditional attractions with a thorough explanation of the history and culture, and organized our tour with plenty of time to take us into the quiet heart of Venice. We wandered through small neighborhoods to see daily life as the residents live it, with a variety of canals, squares, houses, shops and cafes. Our three-hour tour felt so much longer. She also arranged a ride with our gondolier and personally escorted us on to the gondola to ensure our experience was seamless. "
