She’s very good at interpreting the paintings as well as telling you about the history. Our sense was that she was particularly good at being able to adapt what she says to the existing knowledge of her audience, which we found really helpful. "Our entire group were enthralled with Lucia’’s Venice biennale Collateral art venue tour! She set the stage with some important historical facts and encouraged us to see the Accademia artworks to provide a basis for the contemporary art we were about to see. We were taken to off the track places providing a range of different Biennale artworks and also venues that were special in their own right. Favourites were the art school installation and the Nigerian Pavilion. Lucia gave us some tips of venues to see beyond the tour. "Lucia was very open on our communication prior to our tour at the Gallerie dell’ Accademia. She graciously accommodated our request to focus the tour on the artwork at the Accademia. She met us punctually and with an amazingly friendly greeting. She first showed us some images of Venetian artwork to describe the differences in the modern-day buildings as she described some historical information about the Accademia. She has lived in the US for a number of years and her English is perfect. Once we entered the Gallerie Lucia’s extraordinary passion and vast knowledge about Venetian art, culture and history became apparent instantly. She had meticulously planned the sequence of paintings and artwork to view with us. She pointed out many aspects and details in the paintings while she provided an in-depth commentary about the painter and their art. Lucia has a strong connection with the Venetian art and brings it to life. Lucia was very willing to answer any question that we had. She kept the pace of the tour coordinated with our desires.
