Agi and I have been cruising the Mediterranean for the last 8 days and our day with Gennaro was our most memorable, enjoyable and informative yet. Gennaro was so kind to reach out in the days before our arrival and he was instrumental in providing directions to the meeting place to two bumbling tourists. The actual tasting was beyond our expectations as it was just us and him. He spent a good amount of time at each stop and educated us as well as entertained. We learned that Napoli has become a top destination since COVID. We learned that each region and every 20 miles there is a different traditional cuisine. He taught us the correct way to eat pizza…I definitely need to practice. I had real espresso “chocolate” for the first time and had “Mozzarella di Bufala Campania DOP”. The best we’ve ever had and apparently will never have again as it only exists on the day it was made. Many thanks to Gennaro for our best memories this trip. "We had a fun time exploring Naples with Donatella on the Culinary Kickstart Tour! She introduced us to Neapolitan food: street foods portafoglio and cuoppo; babà a favorite dessert and sfogliatelle a breakfast pastry. Although the tour was to have 6 food stops, after 3 stops we were so full that we spent the rest of the time touring the city center and historic area. She shared with us stories and insights which made our layover between Sorrento and Rome much more interesting and productive. Her warmth and genuine love for Naples made the experience extra special. I highly recommend this tour if you want to eat like a local while seeing the city!"
