"A friend & I booked a private tour. Having been with a group of 20 or so before we didn't want to deal with the logistics of moving in a group. Raffaele's work in previous year's as an archeologist at Pompeii added to the experience. Because it was just the two of us he was able to accomodate our specific request to visit the ampthitheater. We were to travel between the Pompeii & Herculaneum excavations to meet our guide at the latter. He gave us good directions including a train change, we had no problem finding the Herculaneum site from the station, it just took a few minutes to find each other when we met back up. Raffaele also offered suggestions to get back to Rome (it was a day trip from there) that saved us a couple hours so that was a bonus."
