"Our first time in Napoli, and what a way to get introduced to the city. Had a fantastic afternoon with Gennaro, with so much information, and fantastic food tastings. We had originally booked the pizza class, but unfortunately the oven was broken, so after speaking with Gennaro, we agreed to go for a blend of the city tour and tasting tour. What started out as a disappointment with no pizza class, turned out to be a great tour, and Gennaro is a really good guide, with so much knowledge and love for his city, and on top a great guy. "Gennaro was very accommodating and met us early because we had finished our other tourist activities early. He picked us up from a location that worked for us and immediately made a great impression. Gennaro is funny, engaging and intelligent and knows all about both the history of Naples and pizza 😁 I'm not going to spoil the surprises by listing exactly what we did but it was a great afternoon of learning and sampling food. It was really hot and Gennaro kept us topped up with liquids from different bars and cafes. When we got to the pizza making part of the afternoon, both Gennaro and the staff at the cafe had a deep knowledge of exactly how it should be done. I learnt so much from the session and we made some really good authentic pizzas. My teenage daughters really enjoyed the afternoon as well, both being much better than me at the pizza making. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Italy!"

"We had a group of eight of us on our historical walking tour and pizza-making class with Gennaro. I can't express how incredible our experience was! In all, we spent four hours with Gennaro, first with a walking tour of the Old Town, where we learned about the millenia of history that make Naples what it is today. We had two kids in our group, ages 10 and 12, and Gennaro did an exceptional job of making sure they followed everything and were involved in every detail (like when we went into a special shop that makes very unique Neapolitan nativities out of cork) and had all their questions answered. We learned about the historical gates of the city and went to the old fish and food market street. It seemed like everywhere we went, everyone knew Gennaro! He was kind, fun, and took every details into consideration and control, which was great in a city as busy and sometimes overwhelming as Naples! There are so many words that I can use to describe how amazing the pizza-making class was at Gennaro's apartment, but here are just a few: delicious, special, memorable, fun. I would take that class again! We all learned so much and enjoyed every moment of it. In all, I can't recommend Gennaro highly enough. Your group will enjoy your time with him! And we thank Gennaro for helping us with details that made our day in Naples even easier, such as helping to manage our luggage storage and transport. I give this tour a score of 100%!"

"What makes pizza different in the place where it was born? Find out in just a few hours by letting Gennaro walk you through each step, including visiting the outdoor market for some ingredients (and recommendations for where to eat later in your trip). Due to some technical difficulties, we did our pizza making in an actual pizzeria kitchen in their off hours. In a way, it was a bonus, because we had both Gennaro and Vicenzo, a pizza master making pizzas in his family's restaurant. It was wonderfully fun, and the Pizza we made was delicious! We learned the extra details of how to properly knead the dough, how to properly measure out ingredients for the correct ratio, and the secret to making the sauce just right. Afterward, Gennaro sent photos and video he took, as well as the instructions so we can do our best to replicate it at home, at least as well as our paltry home oven can handle. An experience we'd highly recommend for anyone who lives to cook, loves to eat, and enjoys meeting new people along the way!"
