"Eleanora met us by the Cathedral in Lecce and started by telling us a little about the history of the area including the invasions from the Ottoman Empire to the Greeks, Romans and Normans which helped us understand the history of the local culture and foods. Then we began a wonderful private and personal tour of the city tasting specialities like Don Antonio olive oil and traditional snacks like taralli. Our tour lasted 3 hours and ended with a ‘caffe leccesse’ which is an iced coffee with almond milk and traditional pastries Pasticciotto which are filled with an indulgent egg custard. We cannot recommend Eleanora more highly. She was a fount of information and made sure we had a great time. "
