"We had a very nice experience with Matteo in Florence. He easily accommodated our request to see the Pontormo painting at the Capponi Chapel and then took us through Basilica di Santo Spirito which he knew well. Afterwards, he took us to two of his favorite places to taste wine--a long-running family business and an expansive wine store. As we wrapped up, he pointed us to the best gelato nearby. Matteo, who is from Florence, followed up later with an extensive list of recommendations for places to eat and shop in the city. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!"

"Firenze was 100 degrees, but our great experience with Ana helped us tolerate the heat for a few hours. Ana is a warm, friendly and caring guide who shared her story, that of her family and the story of parts of Firenze that visitors could never experience on their own. Our Chianti tasting at three venues with various snacks selected by Ana made for an A+ excursion which we booked while we were on our cruise ship. Amazing what one can do these days with a telephone!! And, thanks Ana, for that fabulous pistachio gelato. The best!"

"Our first night in Florence, we arranged to meet up with Eden for the Chianti and Charm tasting journey. Within about a minute of meeting Eden, we felt like we’d known her for ages. Her easy laugh and fun demeanor made it so easy to just settle in for the tour. She explained some of the common foods we might run across, and some possibly less common, as we tasted them in a piazza-side restaurant patio. And we enjoyed delicious Chianti of course. And then as we ate, we talked about everything that came to mind, but especially food and travel and family. We did more walking after that stop, with Eden pointing out recommendations for places to go, and we wisely listened! We’ve since been to the place she suggested for morning coffee and arrived early enough to beat the crowd at her lunch spot. We plan to check out more recommended spots before we leave Florence. It was truly a joy spending the time with Eden, and expect people will love this tour with Eden if they like good food, have a curiosity about new places, and like being around a marvelous and easygoing person!"

"We had a fantastic day walking around Florence with Maria. Maria was friendly and informative and showed us some really unique spots along the way. From a family run wine on tap establishment to a 500 year old wine cellar and some other shared stories along the way, Maria immersed us in the local culture of the area while avoiding the busy tourist spots. We truly enjoyed peaking behind the curtains of the daily life of Florentines that is difficult to see amongst the sea of people visiting from all over the world while enjoying delicious wine and an outstanding meat and cheese board to cap it all off. Maria was flexible with our family when there was a sudden urge from our teenagers to eat paninis and gelato which is exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely utilize with locals again in the future and hope to be able to come back to Florence and enjoy a glass of wine with Maria when she is off the clock. "
