"Isadora is a native of Bologna. It is wonderful to learn about Bologna from someone who lives here. Her knowledge and passion for what she does is evident in the way talks about her city. I took a private three-hour walking tour of Bologna. Since I am staying her for a couple months, I wanted to know not only about its history but also how to get around and actually live in the city. Isadora showed me places to shop that the locals use, told me about pasta--where to buy it and the difference between handmade and machine made, told me the history of Bologna as we visited different historical sites, and made sure to answer all my questions about living here. She is interesting and informative. She takes her time to make sure you are getting everything you hope to know about her city. I had messaged her several times, and she was quick to respond. Izzy gave us great access to some of the finest producers of gourmet delicacies - small enough to experience but large enough to get a good sense of the immense effort to produce quality ingredients. Nothing is more meaningful to see how ham, cheese and vinegar is made then.immediately tasting the fruits of artisanal efforts. The cheese wheels, hanging hams and barrels of balsamic vinegar will be remembered years from now. Long after we enjoy the samples we procured. "

"Riccardo had a lot to say about everything and every place we visited from Bologna to Modena to the Acetaia for a balsamic vinegar tour and back to Bologna! He brought us to the market in Modena, the church and a great restaurant, UVA D’Oro where we had the best Tagliolini with truffles in a butter Parmesan sauce- over the top. He is knowledgeable and full of facts and details- he doesn’t skip a beat. Then we set out for Villa San Donnino where they make and process balsamic vinegar for a tasting. What a great day. If you are going to Bologna, be sure you book Riccardo for any day trip - you will love him!"

"We had a wonderful time on our tour of Ravenna with Eletta. We met her at the train station in Bologna and took the train with her to Ravenna. On the train, she explained Italian history and how it related to what we saw. She bought all the tickets in advance and we were able to quickly move through any lines to see the beautiful mosaics. Eletta is an art professor and an expert in art history. She explained all of the dazzling artwork. There is no way that we could have navigated all of the sites on our own in one day. We had a delicious lunch at the beautiful market. She kindly helped us order, as most of the servers did not speak English. She also stopped twice for us to have a cappuccino. Thank you Eletta for sharing your love of art with others. We had a wonderful time on our tour and learned so much. "
