"We had a five hour tour with Nick, starting in the Castle district in Buda, finishing in Heroes Square on the Pest side. Nick was very personable, spoke perfect English and provided exactly what we hoped to achieve from the tour. His knowledge is amazing and we learned so much about this beautiful city, the country as a whole, its history, cultures and traditions. Nick shared some details of the country’s more unsavoury history which we thought was very honest of him. "We booked Emoke for a 5-hour tour of Budapest. It was our last day of a two week trip through Eastern Europe, so 5 hours might have been a bit too aggressive. Nonetheless, we hung in there with Emmy and were rewarded with an incredible amount of information, presented at a pace that allowed us to absorb it all. We had a prior excursion provided by our cruise company. We asked Emmy to plan our time together without repeating our previous itinerary. She did a great job, showing us some interesting parts of Budapest that helped us understand Hungary's complex and long history. "Our tour with Eva took place on a very hot, sunny day in June. Our group was a bit concerned about the heat and sun. Eva made sure our tour found locations with air conditioning, shady spots on the streets, or time in parks without compromising the sites we wanted to see. "Nicholas met us at the train station and then we used public transport and walking to see the highlights of Budapest. Although a Budapest resident his entire life, Nicholas speaks flawless English due to having an English father. Nicholas not only shows the top spots but also included a visit to the last remaining part of the Jewish Ghetto from WW2. He also introduced us to real Hungarian food. A top notch guide.
