"Martin is an excellent guide - he personalised a day tour of Berlin for my wife and I, combining elements from a number of different tours. In particular we were interested in the German resistance. From the way he talks about this topic, you get a sense of his great passion for the heroes and heroines of the resistance, and his deep knowledge and expertise on the subject. He also showed us around neighbourhoods that were less frequently visited by tourists, and had many anecdotes and interesting facts about the different neighbourhoods. At the end of the tour when we had to part ways, my wife said it felt like we’d just been hanging out with an old friend for the day, and I don’t think you can give a better compliment than that, to be honest. "I can’t recommend Martin enough. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and funny. The two-and-a-half-hour tour just flew by. He really knows his stuff and you can tell he’s a fan not just a tour guide. We really enjoyed spending time in his company, the conversation never stopped throughout the whole time. Even as a pretty big Bowie fan I learnt a lot from the tour, and he really helped to bring Bowie’s time in Berlin to life. If you are looking at a Bowie tour, then this is the one you need to go on. I was really looking forward to this and Martin didn’t disappoint. Just as an aside, we had only just landed in Berlin a couple of hours before the tour, Martin was even able to recommend a couple of restaurants near to our hotel. Can’t argue with that. " Our family of three, including a 13 year old boy interested in all WWII history, thoroughly enjoyed our two separate private tours with Martin. We had a Berlin city tour focusing on history, as well as the Resistance Tour on another day. We finished our tours feeling as if no stone was left unturned. Martin was friendly and every-so knowledgable. Even off the wall things we asked, that really had nothing to do with our specific tour, were answered. We think he must know every building in every sector of Berlin! When asked, Martin was willing to share his opinions and his own family history throughout Germany, which added so much to our understanding. The night prior to meeting us, he brushed up on some specifics about the resistance just as a refresher for himself. He did his homework, literally! We left Berlin inspired to learn more, order a book, and watch a certain movie to supplement our experience and increase our knowledge and awareness of such recent history. "Excellent walk and talk on the development of German architecture in Berlin. It’s not an art tour but a talk about each of the buildings and the overall model of Berlin in the Markisches Museum is fascinating. Boys is knowledge and warm hearted. We thoroughly enjoyed our time."
