"Michel was an amazing host and tour guide! The day trip we took from Paris to Chablis was the highlight of our entire holiday. Michel picked us up right at our hotel, gave us a great history of the region and background on Burgundy and Chablis wine while we made the two hour drive. We had a delicious breakfast with coffee when arriving in the village. Michel had set up three separate tasting for us (two of which don’t typically allow tasting - Michel is an industry insider and can pull some strings!). The wine was amazing, Michel helped us understand our palates and did a very good job guiding us through the tastings. Lunch was at a cozy little cafe with more terrific food. Finally, there was a major snowstorm in Paris that started the morning of our trip. It snowed on us the entire time we were in Chablis and there were several road closures and accidents on the highway back to Paris. Michel bought us train tickets, drove us to the station in Auxerre and waited with us until it arrived. We made it back to Paris quicker than if we had drove with normal weather! Michel was kind enough to stay in Auxerre by himself to wait until the next day to drive back to Paris when the roads were clear. My wife and I are veteran travelers that have been around the globe and on countless tours. Michel was hands down the best tour guide we’ve ever had and hope that all WithLocals tours are as special. Walked through the grand crus vineyards, then toured a larger production domain. Throughout Michel was educational, charming and a gracious host. "Another fantastic day spent in the French countryside outside of Paris thanks to Michel. This was my second day trip with Michel and on this occasion we visited Chablis. While the weather was a little iffy, Michel planned a perfect excursion that included a visit to a local market with some excellent pastries, wine tastings in the area, time in the vineyards (with some great wine) and a memorable and delicious lunch at a local restaurant (my best meal of the trip). I cannot recommend a trip with Michel highly enough. He thinks of everything and is such a wonderful individual to spend time with. As I posted in my previous review, it is more like spending a day with a friend rather than a day with tour guide. "
