Reviews from guests about our tours and locals
"Writing a review of Gelsomina’s pastry tour gives me the greatest pleasure. She introduced us to elegant shops I would never have had the nerve to enter, described the history and construction of confections thst looked far too good to eat, and was consistently interesting as she filled us in on the history of the streets between them, answering sll our questions while inspiring others. A wonderful experience."
"My 9 year old daughter and I had our expectations exceeded on our morning with Joao, learning about Montmartre and getting to taste amazing croissants and coffee. We took pictures in areas we wouldn't have known about as well as classic vistas, such a wonderful momento. Also, my daughter learned about composition and ways to make her photos more interesting. Thanks Joao, that was a perfect last experience in Paris!"
"Our family of 10 (7 adults and 3 children) had a great time on Gelsomina’s food tour. She guided us around a part of Paris that we had yet to explore, sharing information and finding great food for us to try. We enjoyed learning from her and trying all of the tasty treats she provided. She was also very accommodating of my gluten allergy and my sister’s pescatarian needs. I would definitely recommend a tour with Gelsomina! "
"My 13 year old daughter and I went on a pastry tour through the marais with Anna. Not only did she know pastries but, she is also well versed in parisian history and art. She took us to the most beautiful spots and explained all the associated history as well. It was delighful!"
"Our food tour with Anukool was one of the absolute highlights of our time in Paris. From the moment we met him, it was clear that this was going to be much more than a typical food tour. His knowledge extends far beyond Paris and French cuisine. He has an incredible understanding of history, culture, travel, and the world in general, which made every stop along the way even more interesting. The conversations were just as memorable as the food. What we appreciated most was that Anukool took us into a true local neighborhood, far away from the typical tourist spots. We sampled incredible foods and visited family-owned shops and markets that we never would have discovered on our own. It felt like spending the afternoon with a knowledgeable local friend rather than following a tour guide. If you’re looking for an authentic Parisian experience, amazing food, and engaging conversation, don’t hesitate to book with Anukool. We left with full stomachs, a deeper appreciation for Paris, and memories we’ll talk about for years. Highly recommended!"
"I did a food tour through the Marais with Gelosima and had such a lovely time. She thoughtfully adapted the whole experience around my gluten and dairy sensitivities, which made everything feel easy and relaxed. It happened to be a very warm day, and she was warm right along with it — considerate, generous, and a joy to spend a few hours with. What surprised me most is how much I learned. I’ve been coming to Paris one or two times a year for over twenty years, and she still showed me things I’d never known. She gently pulled me out of my usual food habits and let me taste and experience the neighborhood in a completely fresh way. I had fun, I learned a lot, and I came away seeing a place I thought I knew through new eyes. Highly recommend — 10/10."
"Maxine was extremely kind in customizing an experience for myfamily. We had a few who were somewhat physically challenged and Maxine was able to customize an experience for us within his local area that covered many of the wonderful foods that Paris has to offer. We enjoys wonderful food and amazing stories and local flavors. Highly recommend the tour and Mazime."
"We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Oliva. She was knowledgeable about the area and had rapport with the locals in the establishments we visited. This was a great opportunity for my kids to try some new foods. My daughter discovered a new love for Quiche Lorraine and the crepes that we ended with were incredible. It was a good mix of savory and sweet, food, and beverage, with time to sit and rest at some of the stops. She also shared just the right amount of info about the culture, history and art of the area. Highly recommend."
"Anukool did a fantastic job at showing our group around and introducing us to new food experiences. He was full of knowledge and did a great job with commentary and overall conversation. We definitely got our fill of great food, drinks, and experience. "
"Gelsomina was a wonderful guide for our tastings tour of Paris - Saint Germain. We learned about the history and customs of the area and tasted some unique foods, that we would not have otherwise discovered. Gelsomina accommodated my daughter's celiac disease by picking up items ahead of time and also by arranging tastings that were naturally gluten free. I highly recommend taking this tour with Gelsomina!"
