Reviews from guests about our tours and locals
"Jorge is knowledgeable about the history of Tallinn and its people, politics and culture. It was a joy to hear his stories and insights. Thank you! "
"Jorge was very knowledgeable and personable. He led a comprehensive tour that conveyed the historical significance and present day realities of Tallinn- a fascinating city. He is an excellent tour guide with whom it was a pleasure to tour Tallinn for 3 hours."
"It was an amazing experience to follow Jorge through this tour. He is genius, highly educated, passionate about art, culture, connecting all the dots to history, art expression, cultural heritage. We spoke about deep topics, and he gave us an incredible feeling of this amazing city and the estonian culture. Trully unique in many ways. Infinitly thankful to Jorge for his time"
"Jorge was flexible as we asked him to change the focus of our tour based on an unexpected tour I had with a group the prior day. Jorge’s descriptions of the city were interesting and thoughtful. We left the tour feeling a good sense of Tallinn outside the Old Town"
"Anna was very knowledgeable, spoke good English & met all our expectations. She also kept our teenage boys engaged. Thank you for a great experience Anna! "
"Jorge was a brilliant guide in Tallinn. Not only did he have lots of interesting facts about Tallinn’s history and architecture, but he was also very responsive to our interest in Estonia’s social and political issues. It was a fantastic tour with Jorge, and he gave us some great tips on where to go out beyond the tourist areas. Many Thanks, dear Jorge!"
"We booked a Baltic homemade local, seasonal dinner with Evita in Tallinn, and it was an absolute highlight of our trip. From the moment we arrived, she was the perfect host – warm, welcoming, and easy to talk to. The dinner was delicious and beautifully prepared, and we especially loved her mother’s homemade pickles, which made the meal feel even more personal and authentic. It was such a lovely way to start our time in Estonia. Evita is a truly excellent cook, and we loved hearing the stories behind the dishes and local ingredients. We also really appreciated the map she created with two walking routes around Tallinn, which led us to sights and corners of the city we never would have discovered on our own. We’re so grateful for the experience and would highly recommend booking with Evita."
"Anna met us (me, my sister, her husband, my husband) at 9 am for our tour of Tallinn. Prior to the tour she asked about our interests so she could address them on the tour. We walked through Old Town and Anna explained the history, politics, education system, business, architecture of this beautifully preserved medieval city. We traveled in late March, which was perfect because the town was not crowded. We were able to go into churches that were open (the Tallinn Alexander Nevsky Cathedral had a service in process with beautiful music) and to several overlooks of the old town. A very special part of the tour was visiting a medieval garden that Anna spearheaded during Covid dedicated to Hildegard of Bingen. We entered into another private courtyard behind another church where there was a painting of Hildegard and inside the courtyard met a Franciscan monk who has devoted himself to protecting plants and animals and teaching children, through puppetry and a handbuilt theatrical biblical story of angels and the holy family and dragons--it wa quite spectacular. He came out from his house and demonstated how it worked. We then went into his home/workshop and he revealed himself as a unique artist, making paper and drawing and creating multimedia books with poets in the area. He paged through the books with us (he went to the front line of the Russian/Ukraine war in 2014) to document the loss of life there. It was an amazing time we spent with this holy man. Thank you, Anna, for the special time that none of us will ever forget."
"Can’t say enough about our intro to Tallin with Jorge. Just coming in for the day with a small group of Jorge met us at the ferry, got us straight into the heart of Tallin we wanted to visit. Great historical references and knowledge, great sense of humor. Had a great time and got our bearings in no time to spend the restricted exploring in our own and easily back to our ferry from Jorge’s landmarks to easily return. Thanks Jorge! "
"Jorge is very well-informed of the Estonian history and all the Buildings in Tallinn and their history. Additionally, he gave me good impression of the current political situation, how the society is doing and what are their problems. It was really nice to talk to Jorge. His English was very good, certainly better than mine."
