"We had such a wonderful time on our tour with Wayra! Even before our day, Wayra was communicative and open to working with us to make a walking tour that catered to our interests. Her suggestion to tweak our outting to include the Paloqueamo Market based on our curiosity about all the Colombian fruits was so thoughtful. So that’s where we started, and I’m so glad we did! Visiting the market with her was so much fun and a fascinating peek into Colombian culture - she bought like 10 fruits for us and organized for them to be cut so we could easily try them, told us stories about when she or Colombians in general eat them, translated what sellers wanted us to know, and even had us stop to try breads. It was so fun! From there we went to La Calendaria where we toured her favorite hidden gems, heard history and superstitions alike, saw some amazing views, walked through highlights at the Botero museum, and made a (fantastic) coffee stop to keep our energy high. Wayra’s energy, fun, creativity and care all came through and truly made the tour feel like a well organized walk with a dear friend.
