"We booked the "The 10 Tastings of Siem Reap: Street Food" with Long and it was one of the best decisions that we made on our vacation! We learned so much not only about all the fantastic different dishes that we tastes on our tour, but also learned about their backgrounds, the cultural and historical contexts of different dishes and traditions behind them. Long was extremely knowledgeable, perfectly accommodating, and very very very personable, and generous with his time and knowledge. He went out of his way to contact us before the tour to ask if we had any food allergies or preferences so that he could adapt the tour to our specific needs and wishes. He even suggested the best times to meet to ensure that we catch the best vendors/restaurants while they were operating. He always made sure to let us know that there were alternatives available if we wanted to skip a dish (which we didn't, because everything was fantastic). This was more than just a food tour, it was also a cultural and history tour! My partner who is a total foodie and had spend 2 days trying to get a sense for local cuisine said after the tour "Now I get it! I'm so happy we did this - this completely changed my perspective on what Cambodian food is and it was the best experience of the trip for me". "Once again Long provided a thoughtful customized tour of Siem Reap that was perfect for what we needed. We started out by going to the old market in the morning where Long told us about the various goods on sale and their connection to the area which was very informative and interesting. Next we visited a few of the working Wats in the city and got to see what life was like for the monks living there. Long was very knowledgeable about Buddhism and the lifestyle of the monks and was able to teach us a ton that we would not have known if we had gone without a guide. Finally we went to the outskirts of the city where we got to get the taste of the “real” Cambodia and saw rice paddy fields and lotus farms along the Tonle Sap lake. The tour concluded with a stop at a local artisan craft center where we got to see local artists make carvings, wood reliefs, and leather goods. All in all it was an amazing day and great value for the money. I highly recommend Long as a tour guide of this amazing part of the world and plan to use his services again when I come back! "
