"Our day in Flanders with Eric was a wonderful way to end our Belgium holiday. Eric made certain that we were able to visit the sites that were most meaningful to us including a stop at the American Cemetery and a drive through the countryside ridges where my great uncle John fought and was wounded. Thankfully my uncle came home, but it was so important to us to pay tribute to all of the young men that did not. Eric's expertise of the events and places that defined WWI gave us a keen appreciation for the sacrifices and bravery of the soldiers that lived it. We enjoyed lunch in a local restaurant where Eric went out of his way to help us order the best local foods including fries, Belgium stew, and of course Belgium beer! We even swapped stories about our favorite leek soup recipes. The tour far exceeded our expectations. Thank you Eric for providing us with memories of our time in Flanders that we will long remember.
