Reviews from guests about our tours and locals
"My husband and I truly enjoyed our tour. A great view into the history of Bruges. An amazing way to see the beautiful place and walk around sites and street. We enjoyed knowing it was ok exploring side streets. Afterwards and enjoyed a Bruges waffle in a small courtyard-we wouldn’t have done otherwise. "
"Hugo took my mother and I around Bruges. He is so knowledgeable about the area and the history. The highlight for me was a stop for a beer at the oldest cafe in Bruges. He was patient when my mom needed extra breaks from walking. Hugo was truly the best!"
"We just finished our tour with Hugo and it was outstanding!! He is a personable local who clearly loves his city and showing off the hidden gems! We started off in the heavily touristy area ( with amazing things to see) and transitioned into the beautiful areas where the locals live and frequent. Transitioning between the historical and modern day history of Bruges, Hugo gave us a perspective of this beautiful city that we never would have gained on our own!! I would HIGHLY A recommend booking any tour with him!!"
"Benedikt did a 3+ hour Ghent walking tour for us (3 adults, 2 really small kids <4yo). We learned a lot about the city, history and the various buildings. He was great with various stories, answered a lot of our questions and provided good historical context along the way. He also recommended some great food, coffee and waffle places. Given really young kids, he was also super flexible with breaks, and going over time to make sure we cover everything."
"We spend the morning and early afternoon with Hugo in Bruges. Hugo was fantastic. He’s insightful, has a wonderful knowledge of the city - its history and culture - and is very knowledgeable on where to eat and sample local beers. Highly recommend."
"We had a lovely tour in Ghent with Benedikt. The weather was a little dull but Benedikt brought energy, humor and color to the day with his knowledge of Ghent, its history, architecture and culture. "
"It was brutally hot the day Benedikt gave us our tour, so it wasn't his fault we were worn out by the end. He kept seeking shade, but it wasn't always possible. He asked if he could go longer than our 3 hours, and we agreed, but by the nearing of the 4th hour, we called it! Again, not Benedikt's fault. He knows his history and has interesting stories and info to relate. We loved the visit to the "Michelin star" rated chocolatier and the mustard shop. There wasn't a question he couldn't answer. Moreover, he was proactive in reaching out to us as the day of our tour grew close. He met us at the train station in Ghent (we traveled from Bruges) and got us on a tram into the city center. We stayed in Ghent after our tour, and he triple checked to make sure we knew how to get a tram back to the train station. "
"Hugo promptly answered any questions we asked before our trip, especially with tailoring our tour. Even while we were in Bruges but not with him, he answered a couple questions we had. He kindly met us in our hotel lobby, and our tour steered clear of the August crowds as much as possible, which meant we saw plenty of "off the beaten track" alleyways, homes, and architecture. He also included the must-see sights, narrating all along the way with interesting detail and historical info. Highly recommend booking with Hugo! And the price per person is amazing - and we were a group of 4, intimate and personal. "
"The tour with Martin was wonderful. He brought us to places we never would've found on our own. He catered it to what we were interested in, including stopping for me to sit (bad knee). He also took us to have a delicious chocolate. We would recommend Martin's tour without hesitation. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly!"
"Hugo, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and tips of Bruges. We had a great time with you and hope to see you again some day. Tot de noaste kè!"
