We’ll begin with an introduction to batik, learning about the tools and techniques used by local artisans. Then, you’ll get hands-on experience with the canting, a traditional wax pen, as you draw your own design. Feel free to follow classic motifs or let your imagination guide you. Once the wax sets, you’ll apply colorful dyes and watch your creation come to life.
By the end of the session, you'll have not just a beautiful 40x40 cm batik painting to take home but also a deeper appreciation for Indonesian culture.
