Here’s an overview of your tour
Join me on a unique tour in the Princes' Islands. We'll meet in the city and take a scenic ferry ride to Büyükada (the biggest one of the islands!). After that, we'll rent bicycles and start our big tour around the island. As motor vehicles are banned here, cycling is the best way to explore what this pretty place has to offer.
Get ready to check out the one of the oldest hotels of the island which beautifully displays a west and east synthesis in its architectural design. Then, we'll continue our ride around the island. While we are on our way I'll give you historic details about some of the 19th-century houses on the island including the crumbling mansion where Leon Trotsky lived in after being exiled from Russia.
Halfway through your trip, we'll stop at a local seafood restaurant for a refueling lunch. Here you can try a good variety of home-made Turkish appetizers, commonly known as 'meze'.
While cycling around the island, you'll have a chance to see Prinkipo Greek Orphanage in distance. This abandoned building is considered the largest wooden building in Europe.
Friendly tip: It would be a good idea to visit the islands on a weekday rather than weekends if you can, to avoid the summer crowds.
