Krka Waterfalls tour with wine tasting

I'm thrilled to welcome you all to Krka Waterfalls National Park, one of the most magnificent natural wonders in Croatia.

Whole park is much to big to see it all in one day, so we are going to see the gem of Krka Waterfalls National Park , Skradinski buk waterfall.

Skradinski buk is the largest and most beautiful waterfall in the Krka National Park, a place of stunning beauty, rich history, and cultural significance.

We'll start our journey by taking a walk on the winding trails, through the dense and lush forest, and soon you'll hear the sound of the waterfalls, getting louder and louder as we approach the Skradinski buk. You will feel the mist on your face and hear the sound of water crashing against the rocks as you take in the stunning view of the cascading waterfall, which drops from a height of 44 meters. The beauty of this waterfall is truly awe-inspiring and the colors and textures of the rock formations are mesmerizing.

As we move on, I will tell you about the history of Skradinski buk and how it has been a vital source of water and energy for centuries. You will be amazed to learn that people have been using this natural wonder to power their mills, sawmills, and other machines for over 600 years.

During our journey, we'll also visit the traditional mills, which had been active till 1950-s. You will have the opportunity to learn about the traditional milling techniques and see how it has evolved over time.

The Skradinski buk area is also rich in flora and fauna, with over 800 plant species and 200 bird species recorded here. As we walk along the trails, I will point out some of the plants and animals that are unique to this region, and you'll have a chance to take some amazing photographs.

After the guided tour you will have some free time to enjoy the park by youselves.

Leaving the park, we will take a 20 minutes boat ride through scenic canyon of river Krka to the small town of Skradin from where we will be heading to a local winery for a wine and cheese tasting.

Upon arrival at the winery, we will be greeted by the friendly staff who will guide us through the tasting, explaining the flavor profiles and characteristics of each wine. And to accompany the wines, we'll also have some delicious local cheese in an olive oil, which perfectly complements the wines.

We will be there at a winery for about an hour after which we will be on our way back to Split.
