Greece's Favorite Street Food: Authentic Gyros Cooking Class

When you think of Greece, the first thing that pops in your mind is its food and of course, the all-time classic pita gyros! Join me for a private cooking class and I'll show you how to prepare from scratch this local fast food.

Enjoy this hands-on cooking experience in our house close to the seaside, where we'll make traditional tastings with fresh ingredients. As a welcome, we'll wait for you with a delicious Greek coffee or a typical drink called "rakomelo" for the more adventurous ones.

We'll kick off our cooking class by preparing some yummy appetizers or "meze" as we call it in Greek. Then it's time for the "hard work": prepare the dough for the pita bread and grill the meat needed for this mouth-watering dish. For dessert, try the sweet Patsavouropita or Mougatsa, two of my favorite sweet treats.

After all of your hard work, it's time to sit down and savor each of the dishes me prepared together. Will tell you more about our cuisine, traditions and what you shouldn't miss while in the city. But wait. The best part is yet to come! At the end of this delicious and fun cooking class, I will share with you the recipes of what we cooked and even something extra: my grandmother's recipe for the best tzatziki.
