Join me and my family at our cottage in the suburbs of Kandy, away from the hustle & bustle of the city, for a real local experience. Let's cook together and take home unforgettable memories with some tasty recipes.

To start with a bang, let's first visit the local market full of activities and get intoduced to what you will be cooking along with me. Want to cook on your own any special local cuisine? Why don't we stop and let me buy that for you !

Let's have a refreshing coconut drink and head our way to next stop if you like and time permits; A Tea plantation, just a five minutes drive from my cottage in Pilimathalawa, where you will have the chance to see tea being plucked,processed and even you can taste them with a free lady guide provided by the plantation to your language need.

Our comfy house is in a peaceful village surrounded by green nature and you will have a chance to clarify all what you were curious about our food, culture and any small talk while cooking.

Ready for your fun hands-on cooking? What you really looking forward to is the local cooking class!which lasts for 3 hours!to cook to learn to serve and to eat amids fun hands!

All of the courses will be traditional Sri Lankan cuisines taken from my mother's secret recipes. You meet her and call her Ammi ( mommy) And of course, tons of different curries She will give her secret homemade curry powder and even the recipe 😅 to take back home as a gift.

The kids will enjoy a different main course, as the curry might be little too spicy for their taste.

Enjoy the fruits at your labor and taste the delicious food you just made with a fresh glass of coconut juice. We will have more than enough time for interesting conversations, story sharing and of course you can ask me or my family anything you wish to know regarding our culture, habits or any recommendations you might need.

Also, my sons Mandil and Sandul will be more than happy to make their new friends feel like home and tell them everything about their interests and habits or teach you how to play carrom, fun indoor game of locals 😉

You don't have to feel limited by the menu, please contact me and let me know what else you want to add to our class and what to take out if you have any diet restrictions. I can always personalize the class 100% for you and your family. Kids under 10 years old join for free!
